Join Lori to hear about her first hand learnings as a leader at Microsoft. Hear how Microsoft is striving to be a “learn it all” culture (vs a “know it all”) and how leaders model integrity in their “model, coach, care” environment. Microsoft has been recognized in their work in ethics, legal compliance, corporate and social responsibility . In 2022, Ethisphere Institute ranked Microsoft among the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the twelfth year in a row.


About the Speaker:


Lori Garcia, a leader in the Oklahoma community, serves as Sr Director of Global Business Architecture & Sales Strategy for Azure at Microsoft.  Lori is known for her disruptive leadership style inside the company and with our partners and customers.  She is not afraid to ask “why not?” and try something new.  She enjoys “finding a way” and is known for saying “No is just closer to yes!” 


Prior to joining Microsoft, Lori served 10 years in Oil & Gas, 4 years in retail distribution and 5 years in transportation services, serving in a variety of leadership roles in business and technology departments.  She is a graduate of Baylor University and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in management and international business (1995).  She also holds two masters degrees from the University of Oklahoma - a MBA from the University of Oklahoma (2001) and a Masters in Information Systems from the University of Oklahoma (2001). 

Lori enjoys serving the community and recently completed a 6 year executive board member commitment with Make-A-Wish Oklahoma. She is also passionate about supporting women in technical fields and serves on the advisory board for the Oklahoma Chapter of Women’s Energy Network.   Lori is a working mom, who is passionate about helping women balance career, family, and life.  She is married to Bryan, a Sales leader with Trane, and is mother to two boys– Jackson 20 years and Nicholas 18 years.  She and her family live in Edmond, Oklahoma.
