The program is suitable at the basic level for individuals who have routine interactions with others that could potentially lead to contentious conversations. OK Ethics makes no guarantees as it is up to the individual practitioner to determine relevance to their specific area of practice.

About the Program:

In March 2020, a pandemic signaled to the nation a need for remote work with many leaders questioning “Can work really get done or can I trust employees to stay productive?” The national workforce had begun trusting employees to be disciplined and managing their work but also balance personal lives that were also affected by COVID-19. The issue is as relevant now as then as organizations consider whether to offer a hybrid workplace going forward or return to work full time. A recent survey by PwC found that almost 70 percent of executives want employees in the office at least three days a week, while more than half of employees want to work remotely at least three days a week and almost 30 percent would prefer to permanently work from home. Steven Covey has said, “Trust is the highest form of motivation.” It plays an important role in engagement and retention where talent is exiting organizations at a record pace. Those organizations that can continue to manage uncertainty by reinforcing supportive relationships and being intentional in their practice of leading proactively will have higher probability of retaining key talent.

Jeff Wilkie, Human Capital Strategies Principal SHRM-SCP, will provide relevant and current perspectives with methods for insuring that your organization is being intentional in it’s practices of reinforcing commitment to employee success. Jeff will also share key tactics for supporting leaders with appropriate development and coaching.

Below are some learning objectives that will provide some perspective.

Creating Virtual Trust – Gaining High Performance in Hybrid Workplaces

1. Discuss current state of culture efforts and tools for sustaining and engaging employees in virtual organizations

2. Review fundamental changes in mindset and value of trust for the average employee and co-worker

3. Gain knowledge for reconfiguring cultural guidelines and recommended behaviors for hybrid workforce

4. Employ transparent communication practices in the organization for remote worker and on-site

5. Create space and grace for different perspectives that re-enter the workplace in person and virtually

6. Define the leadership frameworks critical for leading high-performance in virtual workplaces
