The program is suitable at the basic level for individuals who have routine interactions with others that could potentially lead to contentious conversations. OK Ethics makes no guarantees as it is up to the individual practitioner to determine relevance to their specific area of practice.

About the Program:

Pattye Moore spent over 30 years selling burgers and fries, first at Sonic and then at Red Robin – in the field with franchisees, operators and in the corporate halls and boardrooms.  Along the way, she learned valuable lessons about leadership, values and integrity – lessons and experience that she is passionate about sharing as an author, speaker and board member at leading Oklahoma companies.

Key Takeaways:

1.  Leaders have courage, compassion, and curiosity

2.  The four most important words in business

3.  Doing the right thing is always the most important thing

About the Speaker:

Pattye L. Moore served as the Interim CEO and President of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers (NASDAQ: RRGB) from April – October 2019.  She also served as Chair of the board from 2010 – October 2019.  She currently serves on the boards of ONEOK (NYSE: OKE), ONE Gas (NYSE: OGS) and privately held QuikTrip Corporation.  In addition to serving on board committees, she has also chaired three CEO search committees.

Moore joined the QuikTrip board in 2005. Moore also worked as a consultant to QuikTrip, assisting in the launch of QT Kitchens fresh food offering.  Moore helped establish a culinary team, R&D processes, consumer research, customer service training, marketing, store and menu design and food safety protocols.

Moore was the president of Sonic Corp. from January 2002 until October 2004. In that position, she was responsible for company store operations with 500 units, 2,500 franchise units, field services, operations services and marketing and brand development. During her tenure at Sonic, she also served as executive vice president, senior vice president, marketing and brand development and vice president of marketing and as a member of the Sonic Corp. board of directors from 2001 - 2006. Over the 12 years Moore was at Sonic, the company grew from less than $900 million in sales with 1,100 restaurants to over $3 billion in sales and over 3,000 restaurants.

Moore is the coauthor of a book on leadership instincts with Scott Aylward, the former chairman and CEO of Barkley, Evergreen & Partners, Sonic’s advertising agency for 14+ years. Wiley & Sons published their book, Confessions from the Corner Office, in summer 2007.

In 2017, Moore was named to the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) Directorship 100.  Advertising Age magazine named Moore one of the "100 Top Marketers in the U.S." in its June 26, 2000 issue. In 2002, Nation's Restaurant News named her one of the top 50 women in foodservice. She received the University of Oklahoma Regents Alumni Award in 2008.  Moore also served as an adjunct professor for OU’s study abroad program in Arezzo, Italy in 2018 teaching business principles to Gaylord Advertising and PR students.
