First Annual Integrity Forum
"How do ethics matter in business and the professions?"
The UOSA Honor Council, the student chapter of the OK Business Ethics Consortium at the University of Oklahoma, is honored to invite you and your organization to attend the First Annual Integrity Forum on Friday, Nov. 13th at 3pm in Nielson Hall, Room 170. This event will consist of a panel of speakers from various professionals throughout our community who will speak on the presence of integrity in their respective fields. The goal of this event is to show our student body that the integrity you learn and apply in your academics as a Sooner is not a temporary ideal, but a lasting virtue that will carry over into your professions upon graduation. Professions that will have representatives on this panel are business, higher education, religion, politics, and law. Not only will panel members speak about how integrity is a vital part of their profession, but they will also offer examples of when they have handled a complicated situation with integrity versus taking “the easy way out.” Speakers participating in this forum include:
*Gina Hendryx: General Counsel of the Oklahoma Bar Association, formerly OBA Ethics Counsel
*Pam Fountain: CEO of Principal Technologies and President of the OK Ethics Foundation
*Dr. Jerry Weber: University of Oklahoma, Regents’ Professor of Education and Human Relations
*Rep. Cory Williams: Oklahoma House of Representatives, 34th District
*Keren Ayalon: Executive Director for Hillel Foundation at the University of Oklahoma
This event is free and open to the community. Reservations are not required. We feel that this panel will be very beneficial to not only our University community, but to anyone else that attends as well!
